Come to Jesus

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” —Matthew 11:28 ESV

RECEIVE

Jesus does not first invite the weary to try harder, understand more, or carry life more successfully. He says, “Come to me.” His invitation is personal. We come to Christ Himself—to receive His grace, His truth, His presence, and the rest only He can give.

REFLECT

What are you carrying today? Perhaps it is a responsibility you cannot set down, a question you cannot answer, or a burden you have quietly tried to manage alone. Jesus does not promise that every circumstance will immediately change. He promises that we do not have to face it apart from Him. The Christian life begins by coming to Jesus, and it continues in the same way: returning to Him again and again.

RESPOND

Name one burden you have been carrying in your own strength. Bring it honestly to Jesus in prayer. Then take one faithful step today from a place of trust rather than pressure.

PRAYER

Jesus, thank You for welcoming me into Your presence. I bring You what is heavy, unfinished, and beyond my control. Teach me to receive Your rest, trust Your care, and walk closely with You today. Amen.

Receive Christ. Reflect Christ.
